An Underappreciated Holiday

I think Groundhog day is very underappreciated. I mean, we used to pay attention to it alot when we were young, but now, noone cares. I think Groundhog day is quite important since it tells you when spring will arrive. Whenever the Groundhog says that spring has arrived, I’m always happy. So yeah

Romeo and Juliet

When Juliet meets Romeo they fall in love immediately. I think that it’s almost impossible to have true love after a few days. I think Romeo kinda got desperate after not being able to marry Rosaline, and just judges Juliet based on her physical characteristics. I feel like if you do find true love, you need more than a month because you need to look at the mental characteristics, personality, and hobbies. I think Romeo just needs to slow it down a bit

Youtube

I think youtube is a fantastic and valuable site. It’s videos are very informational.For example, it provides video reviews on products from many people. It also has certain educational videos. In fact youtube has a education section. However, youtube can sometimes lead you to useless things, even sometimes inappropriate. But they do make some videos a certain age. I don’t have any videos, but go to youtube.com and on the side page there’s a whole education section

Experience of Live Theater

I’ve actually not been to a live theater before. However, if I did go to one, I would expect that it would be much different than a movie. I feel like that since these characters aren’t projected, I’ll be able to feel more into the production. I think though that I would enjoy a movie better because I feel like movies are more into this century while a play’s plot may be writen in the 1800s. It would be a new experience to go to a theater production.

1984

To me I think 1984 was a good book, but there were some issues to it. I think how ORwell portray’s how controlling a government can be is good. When readin the book, I liked it because of the end, when you didn’t know what was going to happen to Winston and you found out that O’Brien was playing him all along. What I don’t like about this book is that Orwell uses too much sex in the book. It makes it give it a kind of boring feel.

An Underrated Movie

Honestly, off the top of my head, I can’t really think of a movie in which I thought was underrated. So my best pick would be Kung fu Panda 2 since I haven’t watched too many movies lately First, people think this movie is about a fat panda trying to karate. It’s actually quite funny. THe amusement you get from Po is amazing, plus the cool plot is great too. It also potrays Chinese culture pretty good too so that’s another reason why I like it

Fahrenheit 451

When I found that our class would be reading Fahrenheit 451, I was like what kind of book is that??? Then, I asked some sophmores who had mmixed reviews of the book. Some said they hated it, but some said it wasn’t too bad. After reading it though, I did think the book has kind of a great start, gets sluggish in the middle, and then gets real exciting in the end. I suppose my reaaction was saying that it wasn’t too bad. It is a great book though.

The Book Most Important to Me

I feel like one of the best overall books is Art of Racing in the Rain. Yeah, I know alot of you guys read it in 7th grade and most of you hated it, but I think it’s a great book. It teaches us a key goal in life; you don’t have to finish first every time. I feel like this makes us appreciate our life much more. It also teaches us how to get past roadblocks in your life just like a racecar avoiding another car.

The Effects of Television

Television. It’s all around us. We engulf our minds into it so much throughout the day. I do agree with E.B White because T.V is addicting to a certain point and we will care less about what’s naturally there. So yes, I do agree with White, but to a certain extent.

What I would like to change

Other than world peace, I would like to change the debt defecit. How do I change it? I have absolutely no clue. But I do know that if the debt could be reduced, there would be alot lass jobless, homeless, and people in poverty. Also, there would be more money for everyone for them to save or do whatever. With it, our country would be a much happier place to live in.
